I'm Being Distracted By Ellowynes

Today, I'm currently avoiding a necessary thing I must do by staring, longingly at pictures of Ellowynes. I really have two (ok, three), that I am drooling over from the Tonner website, and waiting to go on End of Edition Special. For my long and complex Ellowyne post, let's start with the dolls I would love to own...
ohmigod, isn't she pretty...
If I get her, I'd call her Lillith. Suits her, doesn't it, with that hair and those lips?
My sister would go berserk...
Let's see, with that pink hair, if I owned her, I'd call her Valentine, Val for short.
She's so studious looking, but ready for a
daydream all at the same time...
If I had her, there's only one thing I could name her... Aude.
Here is how I plan to acquire them: First, I will get Lillith (Soft Sigh) for Christmas. Than, soon after, Val (Woefully Romantic) will go on End of Edition. Soon after that, Aude (serious Intention) would go on End of Edition, and none of their other releases would speak to me a bit. (If only that were true...)

Now, ladies and gentleman, A (Brief) History of How I was Introduced to Ellowynes...
I read about them, saw them over at Doll Diaries for many moths and didn't care.  Than I bout Saige and went to F.A.O., and saw them in person, and thought, They're pretty. Maybe I should get one sometime... Than I went home and had to look at the Wilde Imagination website to identify a doll, and saw Aude. I tried to deny my attraction to Lillith, but alas, it was not to be. I really kind of liked Val, didnt plan on buying her until one day I was thinking about Aude and Lillith, and than my mind wandered to Val, and than I thought the killing blow: With her pink hair, if I had her,I'd name her Valentine.  Which, of course means I have to get her. Once I like and name a dollhouse doll, I need to own them. I cannot suppress my urge for that doll, it gets added to all dollhouse doll lists, and I want it. Same here, apparently... Sigh.

I also want three other Ellowyne, but they are not yet on the market, as their creator, Robert Tonner, has not yet received my brain waves and made them yet. But more about that another day...

Other Pictures From F.A.O. Schwartz

Random pics that I don't have enough of to make an entire separate post.

These are La Dee Da dolls.

Matilda Monday #10

I have time to post again!

Things I have learned:
1. Ellowyne is a type of doll, not a tea cake.
2. Dolls rule.
3. Lots of other things that I cannot remember.

I also met Saige. When I met her, I curtsied and she held out her hand. I was puzzled. She taught me how to handshake. Than she sat down and we talked. I think she'll get along better with Amy than me, but she's still pretty nice.
Also, I am on the a page! Check it out!

Photostory: Amy Meets the New Girl

By the new girl, I don't mean Matilda. I would hope after six months, Amy would already know our lovely Tudor friend. By new girl I mean Saige!!!! The photo story starts here:

Amy went for a ride on Spirit (as per any time she is not taking care of the horse, grooming the horse, mucking out Spirit's stall, washing the horse, changing her horseshoes, looking up horse facts on the Internet, or when it's raining. And sometimes she'll go for a ride in the rain, too).

Than Spirit saw something in the grass. It was green, shiny, and moving!

Spirit bucked Amy off, and ran, panicky,  away.

"Oww," Amy said. "That hurt."

She decided to sit down and rest before looking for her lost horse.

She turned her head and saw a doll she didn't recognize leading Spirit toward her.

She walked up to Amy and held out her hand for a handshake.

Amy obliged.

"Hi, I'm Saige," the newcomer said. "And you are?"
"I'm Amy," Amy said. "Thank you for finding my horse."
"She's a lovely mare," said Saige. "May I ride her?"
"Sure!" said Amy. It took a little bit of trying to get Saige up on the horse without exposing herself, but she did it!

Saige and Spirit trotted around for a bit. Than Amy suggested that they sit on the porch and talk.

They did. They have a lot in common.

Katherine came up. She was holding a huge box.
"What's that?" Saige asked, at the same time Amy said, "We have a new girl,"
"I know," giggled Katherine. "She's been around for a few days, but you've been so busy you haven't noticed her. And, Saige, it's those cupcakes you brought. See?"

Katherine sat down and opened the box.

She distributed the cupcakes, and they had a lovely rest of the afternoon.

Muppet Making At F.A.O. Scwartz

This is how you design your Muppet.  With colorforms.

Photos of Saige

I had planned to do a photo shoot today, but it was outside, and alas, just before I was ready, it rained. Maybe tomorrow. In any case, enjoy these pictures of my first American Girl doll.

A braid

Love this!

I think these two will get along just fine...

Dollhouses At F.A.O. Schwartz

What kind of  dollhouse blog would I be if I didn't take any pictures of dollhouses at the biggest toy store in the U.S.?!? Of course I did! Anyway, this is a lot fancier than my old dollhouse, but it doesn't mean my affection for my dollhouse has changed one bit! I still have high hopes for my dollhouse people, hee hee! They are awesomely amazing, and I want to get as many as possible. Now, on to the photos...

Look at all these pictures! I love them!
